SRS Labs has launched MyTunes, a free application for iPhone that most significantly improves the reproduction of music in your IOS. Instead of using the supplied file player Apple MyTunes you start the application, select playlists, albums or artists, and you're done.
The sound of most tracks is transformed from an often spectacular. Listening to a variety of rock, new age, jazz and classical music improving all the tracks you've tried. Bass was stronger, the percussion was much greater, and the position of the instruments through the most accurate sound stage. The changes are no longer a matter of increasing the high and low frequencies, there are a lot of sophisticated audio processing takes place.
This application is a bit of a breakthrough for SRS Labs, because the only way to get above this technology with a hardware key on the SRS Wow! the product.
There are some caveats. MyTunes application will not work with any type of music that has DRM, and will not work on the videos you have. Since the application only connects to your iTunes library will not improve Pandora, Spotify or any other online streaming service.
If you listen to a lot of music in the IOS and most of us, do not hesitate to download MyTunes. The basic application is free. It takes a little effort to explore all the features provided, but if you try I think it will have a permanent place on your iPhone or iPod touch. The application will also work on the iPad, but MyTunes is not universal, and an iPhone application comes separately later this year.
