The Washington Post App Now On Android

The Washington Post introduced its new application for Android (TM) users, is now available for free on Android Market (TM). The application combines the best in politics, international finance, the arts and culture and local news with the basic functions of the device to create an intuitive experience, news for mobile users. The application also provides visual storytelling, presenting the award-winning Post photography galleries of photos and photo essays.


For local users, the application has traffic information of value, including real time arrival times and Metro alerts, traffic cameras that provide live pictures of road conditions and continuous updates from Dr. Gridlock. The application also has complete weather information, including updates of the timing belt at Capital, 7-day and hourly forecasts for cities around the world, and with weather maps and radar images for weather alerts the metropolitan area.
