The iPad, iPhone and Android app is aimed at encouraging travel by highlighting the county’s assets. The Convention and Visitors Bureau recently unveiled “Experience Maury, Tennessee,” a first for the organization that promotes local tourism.
The app focuses on three main areas in the county: eat, stay and play. It features local and national restaurants, bed and breakfasts, hotels and RV parks. The play section spotlights museums, antique stores, country clubs, shopping, historical sites, outdoor recreation and many other attractions.
Users can get directions, websites and phone numbers on the app, which also features push notifications. Those who install the app can get pop-up information about local events, shopping coupons and other discounts.
